Henk Vos Foundation – For the development of tourism and community in Suriname
Founded on July 7, 1992, the Henk Vos Foundation is dedicated to promoting tourism in Suriname. The initial capital was contributed by four companies closely associated with Henk Vos as a supervisory board member: Torarica, Assuria, CIC, and Ma Retraite.
After years of inactivity, the foundation was restarted as the Community Fund of the Torarica Group, in line with their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and original objectives.
Some completed projects:
- Restoration of Palmentuin
- Renovation of the Joden Savanne pier
- Beautification of Sommeldsijckstraat
- Renovation of the Combé wedding hall
- Support for the Volksmuziekschool
On January 19, 2021, a new board was appointed; the changes to the statutes and the name followed on May 12, 202

Round It Up
We would like to invite you to contribute to the Torarica Community Fund (TCF).
There are two easy ways to help:
Round Up Donation:
With the Round Up donation, bills can be rounded up to the nearest whole amount, and the difference is automatically donated to TCF projects. You can choose from three options:
Bronze: Round up to the nearest whole amount.
Silver: Add $2–$5 extra.
Gold: Add $5 or more extra.

We have strategically placed donation boxes throughout the Torarica Group at various locations, such as:

General Criteria
General Criteria
General criteria for donations:
- The application must be submitted by a registered organization, foundation, or association, either national or international.
- The project must contribute to national or international tourism in Suriname.
- The project must align with the objectives of the STCF (Suriname Tourism Community Fund).
- The applying organization must be non-profit.
- The project must include a start and end date in a project plan.
Exclusions:
- No structural support or supplementation of operating deficits.
- No donations to individual applicants.
- No support for projects with religious or political objectives.
- No support for fundraising activities.

You can easily apply for a donation via our online application form or by sending a detailed project plan to communityfund@torarica.com.

Application Process
Fill out the Application Form
To submit a donation request, complete the digital application form in full.
Acknowledgment of Receipt
After submitting your application, you will receive an acknowledgment email within one week confirming receipt and outlining the next steps.
Processing Time
The application review takes approximately four weeks. It is important to submit your application at least 2 months before your project start date to ensure sufficient time for evaluation.
Approval or Rejection
After review by the board of the Henk
Vos Foundation, you will receive an official approval or rejection by letter or email. This communication will include the outcome and further instructions.
Financial Accountability
Within two months after your project ends, you must submit a financial report to STCF detailing the expenses. The remaining donation funds will be paid out based on actual costs incurred.
Project Evaluation
In addition to the financial report, you must submit a project evaluation within two months after completion, providing insight into the results and impact.
Evaluation Criteria
Your donation application will be assessed based on:
Compliance with the general criteria of STCF.
Alignment of the project with the foundation’s objectives.
Fit within the available budget.
Agreement
Upon approval, you will receive written confirmation followed by a donation agreement. This agreement includes general and specific terms for handling your donation request.
