Torarica Going Green

In October 2019, the Torarica Group became the first hotel chain in Suriname to receive the Green Key certification. This is an eco-label awarded to businesses that meet environmental standards. The certification is valid for one year and can be renewed annually based on audit results.

The Torarica Group complies with 13 criteria and strives for sustainable practices to protect natural resources. Green Key promotes responsible tourism by encouraging businesses to reduce their ecological impact through energy and water conservation, waste management, sustainable procurement, sustainable operations, and environmental education.
